8/29/02 Missing Person |
Police are requesting the publics assistance in locating a missing 19 year-old man. Derek Dyson was last seen on Sunday,
August 25th, 2002 at 1:30 a.m. leaving a home in the City Park area of the city. He has not been seen since and has had no
contact with family members or attended at work.
Mr. Dyson is described as being Caucasian male, 510" in height, 142 pounds with short red hair. He was last seen wearing
a black v-neck shirt, black trousers, and black boots. Derek Dyson has a large red tattoo of either a snake or dragon on his
upper left arm and was wearing a silver chain.
Anyone with information regarding Derek Dysons whereabouts is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police at 975-8300.

9/3/02 Update Missing Person Derek Dyson |
Police investigators have now identified the body taken from the South Saskatchewan River, Thursday, August 29, as that
of 19 year-old Derek Dyson, reported missing to Police.
An autopsy was performed this morning however, the cause of death has not been determined.
Major Crime investigators are continuing the investigation.

Saskatoon Police Major Crime Section is requesting the publics assistance with the investigation of the death of 19 year
old Derek Dyson. It is known that Dyson was last seen around 2:45 a.m., Sunday August 25th, 2002 in the downtown area.
Dyson was described as being 19 years old, Caucasian male, 510", 142 pounds with short red hair. He was wearing a black
v-neck shirt, black trousers, and black boots. Dyson had a large red tattoo of either a snake or dragon on his upper left
arm and was wearing a silver chain.
Anyone that might have seen Mr. Dyson in this area around that time is asked to call the Major Crime Section at 975-8440
or Crime Stoppers at 931-8477.
