DEREK's 21st BIRTHDAY

Derek I hope you enjoyed your Birthday!!.

WE MISS YOU& LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

We all met up the Mountain - it was a GORGEOUS DAY!

The SUN did come out and there was lots of snow to enjoy.

Sorry Derek I couldn't get 21 balloons in the van.

So we sent you 4 blue balloons and a metalic one that said

'Happy 21st Birthday' on it.

I think you know this anyhow...

I had to laugh when Dawn was carrying the balloons

to where we were all waiting to release them

- the metallic one started to float upwards

- she didn't even notice it had gone.

I thought to myself -

"Derek must really like this one - he grabbed it from the bunch".

Chris and Calvin brought a blue balloon that had

a message written on for you.

We watched them float up to you until we couldn't see them anymore.

Most of us went to dinner and were joined there by others

who couldn't make the mountain trip.

I was so happy that your friends and family were there

to remember you on this - 'YOUR BIRTHDAY !'

THANK YOU ALL

even those who were there in SPIRIT

It meant so much to me and Stephanie!!!

Derek you are missed and loved very much by so many.

' MOUNT SEYMOUR '

To remember Derek we are going to go up Mt. Seymour for the day.

We will be releasing 21 balloons

at the top of the run by the snowboard bowl at 3 PM

& then off to

' KELSEY'S BAR AND GRILL - NORTH VAN '

1378 Main Street (right off 2nd Narrows bridge on West side)
We have a table for 20 booked at Kelsey's

Mt. Seymour is not hard to find because it is after all a mountain. You need to get to Mt. Seymour Parkway Road, which is the third exit off the Second Narrows Bridge (going north). Youll see a big fat Canadian Superstore on your right. Pass that and stay on the Parkway for about 4 km. Youll eventually get to a shopping plaza called Parkgate. Turn left at the first set of lights at the Parkgate Plaza. Then just stay on Mt. Seymour Road for about 7 miles and it will lead you up to the ski complex.

DEREK - I can still see you flying through the air

with that big grin on your face and sticking the landing..
