I got up this morning and put on my Banff T-shirt(I bought this when the
kids & I went camping there a few years ago - always reminds me of Derek) with the bald eagle on it that says 'Wilderness
Spirit' - then when I went out onto my sundeck - I saw 2 Bald Eagles flying about - they hovered around for quite awhile putting
on a show - I thought they put on the show due to Derek.
THANKS SON !! It made me feel your presence today.
We, Steph(daughter), Dawn(a dear Friend) & Myself went to Wellington
Park, where we are going to put a bench in for Derek. - we let 2 blue balloons go for Derek. We watched them until
we couldn't see them any longer.
There were 2 sea lions there today too - one was sunbathing on the dock,
the other was swimming beside wanting to get up , but 'Nope' the one on the dock wasn't going to let him/her -so they barked
and barked at one an other. It was beautiful there today sunny and warm. We then went to the Bird Sanctuary for a nice walk,
saw lots of new gooslings, the baby ducks should be around within the next few weeks. Steph & Colin(my boyfriend) took
me out to dinner at the Greek Restaurant here in town. So it was a busy day. A few tears here and there too..I sure
do 'Miss' My Son!! - I looked through the old Mother's Days cards from the kids today too. Steph got me a new 'Willow Tree
Angel - Mother & Daughter' - I have quite a collection of these now. I am thankful for the comfort of my daughter and
friends to help me make it through today.
